Eight renowned Italian companies to participate in Ethio-Con 2014
On the occasion of the 11th specialized international exhibition on construction (ETHIO-CON 2014) which will be held at AA Exhibition centre from 17th to 21st September 2014, NOVE Consulting in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Ethiopia announced the participation of Eight highly experienced and internationally renowned Italian companies working on building, building materials supply and construction under the logo “ClubItaliaExpo”.
“Since building and construction is a booming sector in Ethiopia which has given government’s special attention and take lion share of the country’s budget, such specialized International exhibitions would have a great benefit to modernize the sector through experience sharing and also play significant role to sustain economic development through technology transfer,” a statement from NOVE Consulting said.
The company said the participation aims to take part in housing development, building, construction and materials supply which Ethiopia offers to interested local and international companies.
“In line with Ethiopia’s Growth and Transformation Plan, these 8 Italian companies comprised under the brand ‘build Italy’ have an ambitious plan to become the main reference to a new construction design, and development ‘era’ the country is striving to attain” Mr. Fabio Santoni, Director of NOVE Consulting and leader of the delegation, said.
According to Mr. Fabio, Italian interest to take part in Ethiopian economy is increasing. This year’s delegation alone includes five new Italian companies to Ethiopia. “The interest to Ethiopian market is increasing among Italian companies. It is the indication of the growing economic cooperation and fruitful diplomatic relation between Ethiopia and Italy.” he added.
Mr. Fabio said that the consortium will aim to share new technology as well as transfer knowledge to support the development of Ethiopian construction sector. “I believe the expertise and experience accumulated in these Italian companies in conjunction with opportunities in Ethiopian construction and building market will bring meaningful benefit to the sector.”
