Radisson Blu to host the first New Year party

Since the opening of the Radisson Blu hotel in Addis Ababa in January 2012, the hotel has been known to welcome and organize a great number of successful events for its local and international clients. However, the hotel has not organized an event of its own yet and says “this is about to change” tomorrow Sep 10th, as it is preparing to host a party for Ethiopian New Year’s Eve that the management of the hotel hopes “will be remembered for a long time.”

“A great entertainment program, featuring Kenny Allen, the 251 band,

Ethiopian traditional dancers, [and a] DJ will carry everyone into the 2006th year of the Ethiopian Calendar. The buffet will be of the usual excellent quality, featuring both local and continental dishes. An open bar will serve soft drinks, beers and wines, as well as a glass of sparkling wine at midnight. [We are expecting up to 400 guests, with their usual mix of up market, chic clientele,” the hotel said in a statement.

The night will be spiced up with a raffle that has some “amazing gifts”: among others, weekends, ballooning trips, spa vouchers, and dinner vouchers.

“Also, September 2013 is for Radisson Blu the tenth anniversary of their

Responsible Business action month and 10 % of the sales of the tickets will go directly to the Support Africa Foundation, a charity looking after the education of children and women in Ethiopia.”

Tickets are limited and already for sale on a first come first served basis, according to the hotel.  “So if you want to be part of that exciting event, don’t lose time and get yours directly from the hotel.”

Tickets are sold for 2000 ETB per person.
