Addis Ababa city council elects Diriba Kuma

Addis Ababa city council elected today Minister of Transport Diriba Kuma as the next Mayor of Addis Ababa.

At a ceremony held this morning at the city’s hall, Diriba received the symbolic key to the city from the outgoing mayor Kuma Demeksa, and was sworn in along with Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the outgoing Council Dr. Tabor Gebremedin and Woldegebriel Abreha respectively who were reelected. ,

The council also reelected Abate Sitotaw as deputy mayor.
