“Ethiopia’s International Relations: The Foreign Policy Making and Determinants of an Emerging Giant,” a research project aimed at investigating the substance and formulation processes of Ethiopia’s foreign policy making since 1991 is launched on the 14th January 2014 in Addis Abeba. The project is implemented by the Ethiopian International Institute for Peace and Development (EIIPD) and the International Law and Policy Institute (ILPI) in collaboration with the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Addis Abeba University and the Ethiopian Development Research Institute.
Coca Cola Ethiopia has launched a personalized campaign that gives its consumers an opportunity to swap the iconic logo with the personal names of their friends, relatives and family members. The most common 200 names among Ethiopians have so far been printed in its full brand portfolio.
European Year for Development kicks off
New figures published on a special Eurobarometer show that the number of people who are in favor of increasing aid has gone up significantly, and Europeans continue to feel positive about development and cooperation. According to the special Eurobarometer 67% of respondents across Europe think that development aid should be increased – “a higher percentage than in recent years, despite the economic situation.” The EU also said, 85% believe that it is important to help people in developing countries.
