The international hotel group announces strategic partnership with the
Azalaï Hotels Group

Worldhotels expands into Africa by joining forces with the Azalaï Hotels Group – the first African private hotel chain in West Africa. As part of the agreement, six Azalaï Hotels in Burkina Faso, Benin, Mali and Guinea-Bissau have joined Worldhotels’ global network of almost 500 hotels worldwide, taking advantage of the group’s 360° solution, which offers everything from technology to branding. Additional properties in Nouakchott, Abidjan and Dakar are anticipated to join Worldhotels’ portfolio when they open their doors in 2015 and 2016.

Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company with approximately 7,540 hotels and part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: WYN), today announced the signing of a management agreement for the Hotel Group’s first property in Ethiopia, the 136-room Ramada® Addis.

Upon opening in the first half of next year, Ramada Addis will offer 128 guest rooms and eight suites, ideally located on a major transport route linking the city center with Addis Abeba Bole International Airport.

Mangalis Hotels Group, a hospitality group born in Africa three years ago with an objective of developing and managing new brands in the continent, has unveiled its latest economy brand – Yaas Hotels. Senior executives of the Hotel group announced this today at the margins of the ongoing Africa Hotel Investment Forum (AHIF) 2014 in Addis Abeba. The group has already launched two brands last year: the upscale segment Noom and the midscale segment Seen making its pipeline to 16 in 13 countries all over the continent.
