Addis Abeba, December 21/2018 – Organizers of the the Ethiopian International Film Festival (EARTHOPIAN) said the opening ceremony of the 13th edition of the festival will be held on the 24th of December 2018, at 5; 00 pm, at the VAMDAS Cinema. “The ceremony will be inaugurated by the Guest of Honor Nebiyu Bayeh, Head of the Addis Abeba Administration Culture and Tourism Bureau,” organizers said.

The opening ceremony consists of inaugural speeches, screenings of short film, clips of all participants films involved in the festival and the premier of the feature film. “As usual this grand ceremony will be held in the presence of distinguished guests, film professionals, and government officials, local and international media.”

In addition to the festival, this year the organizers have changed the word ETHIOIFF that served as a short name of the Ethiopian International Film Festival to EARTHOPIAN “aimed at [matching] the great history of Ethiopia and its people.” AS
